The Children's Challenge is a Bright Path youth program initiative founded on the aspects of health and fitness, and through the vision of Jim Thorpe. The Children's Challenge is hosted by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame as a year-end finals track meet for all 5th and 6th grade first place finishers throughout all Oklahoma City Public Schools.

Students compete in track and field events that promote excellence, healthy competition, and building a healthy lifestyle through exercising. Medals are presented in Olympic format, allowing students to be recognized for their hard work and dedication.

The Children's Challenge takes place at Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. Over 400 children participate and are able to be provided backpacks filled with water bottles, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and other donated items.
