RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN

OKLAHOMA SPORTS HALL OF FAME

2017-2018 Red Ribbon Art & Essay Contest Celebration

Special Guests: Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department

     welcome

     To the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people during "Red Ribbon Week," practiced each year in the month of October.

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame partners with Red Ribbon and the National Family Partnership to host a state-wide Art & Essay Contest Celebration, featuring that year's Red Ribbon Week theme. Our goal is to teach children about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the many negative effects

drugs can have on their lives.

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame provides every public school in Oklahoma a guidebook for Red Ribbon activities. Every student has the opportunity to sign a pledge to be drug free, and those who choose to do so, will receive a certificate of recognition at the end of the year.

Our partnership with the Red Ribbon Campaign reaches over 190,000 Oklahoma school children each year.
